Hi.
I'm Hotaru Agui.
Nice to meet you.
Let me take you around the town of Agui.
The people of Agui are very pround of the flowers of each season.
Renge or Chinese milk vetch is our spring flower.
The plant fertilizes the rice paddies, and helps make delicious Renge rice.
Hanakatsumi is our flower of early summer.
vivid purple wild iris is so called in Agui after the legendary flower in Japanese classics.
Chrysanthemums represent autumn.
Many people come from far and near to see our citizens' chrysanthemum exhibition.
And plums in winter.
The plum blossoms are designated as the flower of Agui Town.
Plum blossom viewing at the Fureai Forest is really nice.
We treasure nature in Agui, and aspire to create a pleasant environment with lots of firefiles or hotaru in japanese.
You can observe fireflies all year round at the Firefly Cultivation Site.
Look at this.
Did you know that the larvas of fireflies glow?
July 1st is Agui Hotaru Day.
That's not about me.
It's the day for fireflies in Agui.
I hope I can enjoy the fireflies with someone special in summer.
